Jan Söffner joins the German Department in Autumn 2024 as Gerda Henkel Visiting Professor. At home in Friedrichshafen he holds the chair for Cultural Theory and Cultural Analysis at Zeppelin University, where he also served as Vice President for Teaching. He has taught at the University of Haifa, the University of Cologne and the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, and has been awarded fellowships at the Einstein Center Chronoi in Berlin and the Institute of Advanced Studies Morphomata in Cologne. In 2016 he held the position of Program Director at Wilhelm Fink publishing house in Paderborn.
