"History- 'iStory': when a Historian uses the 'I'"

Abstract: How history, as a science and an academic discipline, can also be a literary activity.  An introduction to creative writing into history, through the use of the “I”, the intertwining between past and present, the resort to fiction “under control”, the betterment of emplotment, the renovation of footnotes, and how those devices can help to reconcile the demand for method and what Roland Barthes referred to as the “pleasure of the text.”
