Language Teaching is a core part of all the DLCL doctoral tracks. This symposium will explore different perspectives on the importance of language teaching as both intellectual inquiry and as career preparation. Language learners at èצӰÏñ—the students in the classes—have a wide range of interests, far beyond the study of literature which is often the focus of the graduate student teachers. How can we bridge that gap?

Discussants include:
Elizabeth Bernhardt (Professor of German Studies and Director of the Language Center at èצӰÏñ)
Anita Chepchirchir Too (PhD Student in Comparative Literature)
Alexander Key (Associate Professor of Comparative Literature)
Johannes Junge Ruhland (PhD Candidate in French)

Moderated by:
Russell Berman (Professor of Comparative Literature and Professor of German Studies)

Open to the èצӰÏñ community only.
