Aminata Sow Fall is an internationally renowned Senegalese-born novelist. Her novel, La Grève des bà ttu, won the 1980 Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique noire. She was a member of the Commission for Educational Reform responsible for the introduction of African literature onto French syllabi in Senegal, before becoming director of La Propriété littéraire in Dakar. She also founded the publishing house Éditions Khoudia in 1990.
