Code Poetry Slam
What isÌý?
- poetry written in a coding language
- a C++ sonnet, a Haskell haiku
- a program to generate poetry
- something completely new! experiments encouraged!
The Contest
This fall, the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages (DLCL) is sponsoring a Code Poetry Slam. We put out a call for works, inviting programmers and poets toÌýÌýcode poems in any language, and invited the creators of our 8 favorite submissions to present at a Code Poetry Slam.
The Slam
The Code Poetry Slam will be held at 7pm onÌýNovember 20thÌýin Building 160 (Wallenberg Hall). Finalists are invited to present their code poems in whatever way they see fit.
There will be pizza and a discussion / Q&A while the judges (an interdisciplinary group of grad students) deliberate, and then winners and runners up will be awarded cash prizes.
