This program, organized by CREEES and the Department of Art & Art History, and supported by èצӰÏñ Global Studies, brings to campus some of the most interesting and accomplished contemporary filmmakers from Serbia: Jelena Maksimović, Ognjen Glavonić, and Marko Grba Singh. Three films will be screened in the course of two days, accompanied by conversations with their authors. The program will give the audience a solid introduction to both the dramatic narrative and the documentary approaches to filmmaking, by three cineastes invested in critically exploring the socio-political, historical, and personal dimensions of the idea of “homeland."

Marko spends time in the abandoned apartment of his childhood in Belgrade. Traces of the past are being drawn and memories, both idyllic and traumatic, are combined.
