Chang-rae Lee, author of four novels, has been named by The New York Times Magazine as one of the most influential American novelists writing today. The Surrendered (2010) has won numerous awards and citations. He has also written stories and articles for The New Yorker, The New York Times, Granta, Condé Nast Traveler, Food & Wine, and many other publications.

Chang-rae Lee was born in Seoul, Korea and emigrated to the United States when he was three years old. Currently he is a Professor in the Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University, where he teaches fiction writing.
