Eminent Africanist Bogumil Koss Jewsiewicki (Université Laval, Québec) visits èצӰÏñ for the second of two events. A historian of Africa, Jewsiewicki has organized numerous conferences and exhibitions in Africa, Europe, the U.S., and Central America. His research includes history and memory, biographical narratives, and popular paintings and photography. His latest book Mami wata: La peinture urbaine au Congo analyzes popular painting and its political significance.
