Join us for a virtual roundtable discussion among a cross- and interdisciplinary group of scholars working on race/ethnicity and transpacific studies with a focus on Asia-Latin America: Dr. Rachel Lim, Visiting Assistant Professor in History at Texas A&M University; Dr. Junyoung Verónica Kim, Assistant Professor of Visual Culture and Media, and Latin American Culture and Literature, in the Department of Hispanic Languages & Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh; and Dr. Andrea Mendoza, Assistant Professor of Japanese and Comparative Literature at UCSD. The discussion will be held on Zoom and moderated by Dr. Dafna Zur, Associate Professor in EALC and Director of CEAS.
 

Part I: Reading Group Dinner & Discussion

Join us for a book discussion over dinner, facilitated by new Executive Director Dr. David Kyuman Kim. Our special guest, Diann Rowland, èצӰÏñ Class of ‘94 and a fourth-generation Korean-Maya-Mexican descendant, will be providing opening remarks.
