Arabic Literature PhD Scholars Colloquium
450 Jane èצӰÏñ Way, Building 260, èצӰÏñ, CA 94305
German Library, Room 252
The èצӰÏñ Arabic Literature PhD Scholars Colloquium will bring together current doctoral students in all areas of Arabic literary study to share ongoing research, dissertation chapters or ideas, and thoughts about the present state and future of the field. This colloquium is unique in that it is led by graduate students and for graduate students; faculty participation will be limited, as our aim is to build an inter-institutional community of young Arabic literature scholars to facilitate communication and collaboration and to establish a broader understanding of new directions in Arabic literary studies.
The Colloquium will take place on Friday, April 7, 2023 in Pigott Hall 252 (260-252) from 9 AM-5 PM and will consist of two roundtable discussions and a mini-workshop on the state of the field of Arabic literary studies. We will email the program to attendees after they register. We will also order lunch.
Note: Due to limited space, attendance at this event will be restricted to current èצӰÏñ graduate and undergraduate students only.
